The 30”-scale 4-string bass is downsized enough to be comfortable to play while still providing a good focused tone that will work in virtually any playing context. The simple volume and tone electronics layout with a soap bar pickup in the bridge position allows the player to focus on playing the music instead of being distracted by too many sound choices. While not common, the 30” short scale basses have been popular with even pro-level bass players since the 60’s due to their ease of playability as well as improved portability.

POPLAR BODY

Although not as well known or highly regarded as Alder, Poplar is a fine tone wood that is reminiscent of Alder in sonic character. Full sounding with strong mids and a firm low-end that’s well balanced across the tonal spectrum, Poplar suits a variety of musical genres and playing styles for both electric guitars and basses.

HARD MAPLE NECK

The hard maple neck provides strength and stability while delivering a defined and punchy sound that mates well with virtually any type of body and fingerboard woods.

ERGONOMIC BODY SHAPE

Found only on the Action Series basses, the ergonomic body shape, which fuses the best elements of classic and modern designs, was designed to reduce fatigue and enhance playability for extended playing sessions.
